Overview

Unit Plans are present at the start of every unit and provide a snapshot overview of the entire unit and shows key elements of every lesson in the unit at a glance.

Elements

1. Header:

Identifies the grade, unit number, unit title, total lessons and unit assessment

2. Lesson Type and Title:

Identities the lesson type and name of the lesson

This will identify one of the 5 Lesson Types

1. Investigate

2. Learn

3. Apply

4. Master

5. Extend

3. Lesson Objective:

Shows the main point of the lesson and the CCSSM in each lesson

4. Major Task:

Identifies the main tasks of each lesson.

Title of the Majot Task varies with each Lesson Type

1. Investigate Task: "Today's Investigation"

2. Learn Task: "Apply What You Learned"

3. Apply Task: "Apply What You Learned"

4. Master Task: No Major Task (Master Lessons are practice to solidify the concept)

5. Extend Task: "Today's Investigation"

5. Essential Question:

Present on Lesson Types: Investigate, Learn, and Extend

Tells teachers what they should get students to underand in the lesson.

Give teachers questions to ask students to extend their understanding and help them come to the solution on their own

6. Summary:

Gives the pre-written lesson summary for each lesson.

Can be eddited if necessary
